Independent Contractor Status
You are engaged as a 1099 independent contractor, not an employee, and you are responsible for your own taxes, equipment, and work-related expenses.
Equipment Requirements
You must meet and maintain all required equipment and technical standards. Failure to meet requirements may result in removal from opportunities without refund of any fees.
Background Check & Drug Screening Requirements
Working as an independent contractor requires an investment to minimize the clients risk. You must be able to pay a background check fee, which is non-refundable once initiated, and agree to lift any credit freezes to complete the process. You may be required to complete and pass a drug screening as part of the background check above. Failure to do so may result in disqualification without refund of any fees paid.
Customer Service Assessment Requirements
You must successfully pass a customer service assessment to qualify. Failure to pass will result in the inability to proceed. Please commit at least 1 hour of uninterrupted time. You will be assessed on customer service scenarios, items about you, English skills, other spoken language(s), pattern identification, etc.
Training Deposit Requirements
Working as in independent contractor requires a high level of commitment and accountability. You are required to pay a refundable fee to hold your spot in training with a client. If you fail to show up to training, the fee will not be refunded.
Service Platform Fee
Once you begin servicing a client and earning, a biweekly Service Platform Fee of 8% will be deducted for required operational expenses. This includes access to the platform, including the 24-Hour Client Technical Support Help Desk, Starmatic® scheduling system, invoicing services, client opportunities, and other items that support your ability to continue earning. This fee is deducted only while actively working, and is non-refundable.
